Ahn Jae Hyun talks openly about gay rumors from early career
Popular actor Ahn Jae Hyun addressed past rumors about his sexuality during the April 9 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Problem Child In House.
The talk started when K.Will recalled how Ahn Jae Hyun and Seo In Guk appeared in his music video for the song Please Don’t…. The video got over 85 million views and attracted overseas attention.
Joo Woo Jae asked Ahn Jae Hyun if he knew the story behind the music video. He said he didn’t at first but thought Seo In Guk was “playing a ghost.” The video led to Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun getting nicknamed “World Gay.”
Ahn Jae Hyun explained that rumors about him being gay existed even before that because of his modeling career.

Ahn Jae Hyun also talked about his weight struggles during his modeling days:
“When I was really thin during my modeling days (at 186cm) I weighed 64kg, and during collection seasons, 60kg. When I lost that much weight, my hands would shake as I came home because I hadn’t eaten much.”
K.Will asked why he didn’t eat, and Hong Jin Kyung defended him:
“For shows, you have to be as thin as a sheet of paper to look good on stage and to highlight the clothing’s fit.”
