BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Faces Allegations of Deception Regarding Brother Amid Sexual Assault Controversy, Agency Issues Statement

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is facing controversy over her official statement denying ties to her brother, Kim Jung Hun, who was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female streamer.

The controversy began when allegations surfaced that Kim Jung Hun sexually assaulted a female streamer. His alleged wife also came forward, accusing him of domestic abuse and sharing photos of bruises. Kim Jung Hun was later identified as Jisoo’s older brother.

On April 20, Jisoo’s agency BLISSOO issued a statement via law firm Kim & Chang. They said the controversy is “entirely unrelated” to Jisoo. The statement claimed Jisoo has lived independently from her family since her trainee days, has no knowledge or involvement in her brother’s private matters, and no business, legal, or financial ties with him.

Soon after, netizens found a problem: the production credits for Jisoo’s Netflix series Boyfriend On Demand listed Kim Jung Hun as “Management Representative.”

The production company responded, confirming the credit was an error and corrected right away.

Jisoo’s team also stated she is not providing any financial or legal support to her brother, has cut all contact, and has no plans to change that.
